1792 marks the creation of Fayetteville Street – Raleigh’s main street.
Fayetteville Street was once where the wealthiest socialites built their homes. It was where we went to celebrate and party.
It all went downhill in the 1960s, but city folks persevered and things started to turn around in the late 1990s. Now, it’s a cool place to go for a fun and inexpensive night on the town.
